WedNesDay - Castlevania
Castlevania, a name that resonates with all the folks in the retrogaming community. For many this game has been the result of driving the feel to collect, connect and sometimes vector of frustrations.
In short, September 1986 - Konami dropped the bomb under the name Akumajo Dracula in Japan.
Which means devil's castle Dracula. Just in case.
So for the guys that are not from the 80's and totally missed out on the Castlevania craze. It's an action platformer on the theme of horror and monsters - in terms of inspiration there's similar themes to the Universal Monster Universe (Not the Dark Universe please I beg you)
Another fact about the series and this game in particular it's known to be unforgiving - enough so that you will hear the death jingle more often than not. But bear with me as I reveal you the secret - Dying - Yeah I get it you're winners and don't want to die.
But the more you're going to do so, the better you will recognize the patterns of the enemies and you'll get better at it - that is up until a certain boss that will bring Death on you. As the road leading to it is well, patternless... Awesome.
Speaking of awesomeness there's two main aspects in the series that are celebrated, a lot - the initiation of a genre in itself and the music. This is some classic chip tune right there, rippable and can be listened to outside of the game if you ask me.
Vampire Killer is the main theme - and if you're dying on the first level you're going to hear it a whole hell of a lot.
It's a classic, in any way you look at it. You can't go wrong with this game and every old geezer is going to have fondle memory of this game despite the challenge. I do like to talk about challenge don't I.
Fact #1 : Retro Games are waaaaay harder than the games we have now.
Fact #2 : This game is awesome. No exceptions
Fact #3 : The second game in the series is inferior
I could go on like this, but let's face it there's top 10 channels if you want to read random shit. So in short and sweet, it's awesome buy it - it's expensive who cares buy it anyway. Bye !
